The Three-Point-Teaching Method: Private Dance Lessons, Group Classes, and Dance Parties

Private lessons are the most effective way to learn how to dance. You’ll work one-on-one with a professional instructor who will guide you through the steps and techniques of the most popular dance styles, including teaching you how to lead and follow. These lessons can be shared between a romantic couple or taken as individual lessons. For our group classes, you’ll be in a space that allows you to practice your moves in a social setting. Group sessions are conducted at different times during the day for various skill levels. While not intended to be the primary form of instruction, group sessions are ideal for learning the fundamentals of new dances and practicing moves you already know to build confidence. We also host dance parties or dance socials every week to help you solidify what you’re learning by putting it into practice. All teachers are available and dancing during these events if you need help or a refresher. We say these parties are like swimming with a lifeguard on duty.

Tracking Progress With Our Medalist System

We use the medalist system to track progress within the most current Arthur Murray syllabus. Each level encompasses diverse steps and techniques tailored to that skill level. Each curriculum is divided into four segments, each taking approximately six to twelve months to complete based on the frequency of the lessons and participation in dance events. The medals are as follows:

Bronze Levels 1-4: Social Dancer

A bronze-level dancer is a phenomenal social dancer who excels in leading or following, floor navigation, styling, and musicality.

Silver Levels 1-4: Hobby Dancer

Silver dancers are those who have embraced dance as a significant hobby. Dancers at this level often standout on social dance floors or in competitions.

Gold Levels 1-4: Lifelong Dancer

Gold dancers are the best in the company. These dancers shine on any social dance floor and regularly dominate competitions.
